Luisa HerediaGraduate Student in SociologyBiographical NoteLuisa Heredia received a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame with a joint major in Anthropology and Sociology and a certificate in Latin American Studies. She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. Luisa’s academic interests are at the intersection of race/ethnicity, immigration, political and civic engagement, and social movements with a particular focus on ethnic and immigrant political incorporation. Her dissertation is a study of the political incorporation efforts of the Catholic Church surrounding immigration reform. Luisa is currently in residence at the University of Notre Dame (‘07-’08) as a Doctoral Fellow with the Institute for Latino Studies and the Center for Social Movements and Social Change. 09/20/2007
