- Abstract
-
Despite decades of work on organizational justice theories, research explicitly linking justice to work performance is scarce. This study examines the effects of distributive (outcome), procedural (process), and interactional (interpersonal) injustice on the work performance of Major League Baseball players after salary negotiation and arbitration processes. The study finds strong support for the hypothesized negative effect of distributive injustice on work performance, and conditional support for a negative effect of interactional and procedural injustice on work performance.
