My principal research interests are in the areas of cognitive science and neuroscience.  In the next several years I plan to address issues concerning the mechanisms of lexical production and comprehension.

Specifically, I intend to provide experimental evidence on the relationship among semantic, syntactic, and lexical form information for grammatical and semantic categories.  I am presently conducting a study on the relationship between grammatical and semantic information during language production.  My research will provide information about what
point in the time course of activation does gramm atical information get accessed as well whether grammatical information is independent of semantic and phonological knowledge.

Additionally, I am using rapid trans-cranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to investigate some of the above interests as well as questions concerning hemispheric neglect.

Areas of interest:
Object recognition
Semantics
Syntax

I am interested in the prediction of aggressive behavior. I am currently analyzing a large longitudinal data set in order to determine the factors (such as neuropsychological and physiological measures) that most strongly predict delinquent behavior. I also have a strong interest in research design and statistical procedures as they apply to psychological studies.
