I am interested in general issues of infant cognition. In the past, I have conducted research using a preferential looking paradigm to assess language comprehension in 10- and 14-month olds. Recently, I have become interested in psychophysiological correlates of cognitive processes. In the upcoming year I will be using event-related potentials (ERPs) to investigate numerosity in infants.

I am interested in how individuals and groups make decisions and solve problems. In particular, I want to understand how people construe and mentally represent decision/problem environments. Often people construe the same event quite differently. This differential construal may help and may hinder effective decision making. I would like to know how and when this occurs.
